DISAM - Industry Standard B+ Tree File Handler. If your application and the data reside on the same machine, DISAM is for you. Multiple users would be accessing the application and in turn the data by running the application directly on the machine or connecting with remote desktop, telnet, ssh or equivalent.


DISAMCS - Client Server version of Industry Standard B+ Tree File Handler. If you are using a machine as a database server and the applications reside on remote machines, you will want to consider DISAMCS. A remote DISAM Server will run on the machine where the data files are located and applications will access the data via regular TCP/IP. No locking issues exist between platforms when using DISAMCS.


DISAM Version 7 is the currently shipping version. DISAM Version 7 includes the Client Server functionality of DISAMCS. A free server binary is available for some platforms.

DISAM96 is available upon request and continues to be fully supported.
